July kicks off with a full lineup of community events and summer fun. Enjoy live music at Friends of Main Street’s Outdoor Summer Concerts on the Green and at AMP, featuring performances by The Love Dogs and Calla & Friends. Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with festivities at Soldiers’ Monument and the America’s 250 Years of Freedom Dance at Winchester Grange. Families can take part in the Youth Civic Challenge sponsored by the American Museum of Tort Law, and explore the natural beauty of Highland Lake and the surrounding trails through boating, hiking, and outdoor adventures.

Friends of Main Street Winsted is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the historic preservation, beautification, and economic growth of Winsted. We achieve this by helping to attract new businesses, support existing businesses, and encourage traffic to downtown. Donations are always welcome! Summer Concerts on the Green| Join us on Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the historic Town Green–East End Park in July and August. Bring your friends and neighbors for a fun evening of great music and entertainment. Pack your lawn chairs and a picnic dinner, or treat yourself to delicious options from our local restaurants.
