The Fall Foliage Festival is a terrific opportunity to sell your wares, showcase your business, or promote your cause or organization to Winchester and surrounding town residents and visitors exploring the fall foliage in beautiful Litchfield Hills. Our spectacular Car and Motorcycle Show brings many additional patrons from around the state. There is free parking and a free shuttle helping patrons experience the entire festival from one end to the other - also wheelchair accessible. Book your space today! |

INFORMATION for Exhibitors and Food Vendors FESTIVAL Area
- Set Up Time: 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
- Inclement Weather: This is an outdoor event (weather permitting). There are no refunds.

- Festival Area: The Exhibitors and Food Vendors will be set up from Case Avenue to the YMCA.
- Entrance: All Vendors will enter at Case Avenue.
- Vendor No Call/No Show Policy: If an exhibitor does not call/email an Friends of Main Street (FOMS) representative by 9:00 am on the date of the event, the exhibitor’s vending space will be given away to another interested vendor.
- Map & Booth Number: Vendors will receive booth, entry area and set-up information prior to the event.
- Placement: FOMS will place exhibitors at their discretion. Exhibitors are not allowed to change your assigned booth space without FOMS permission.
- Tents: It is highly recommended to have tents especially on a sunny day. Exhibitors stay within the confines of their assigned booth space, anchored securely with weights. It can get very windy. This also includes stand-up displays. Exhibitors . Exhibitors are responsible for providing their own tables, chairs, and adequate trash receptacles. You CANNOT park your vehicle alongside your booth.
- Electricity: Electricity is NOT available, you must let us know if you are bringing a generator.
- Load-In/Out: You will be informed of the Booth location and where to park via email before you arrive.
- Parking: you will be directed to FREE parking the day of the event. (a short walk from Main Street)
- Trash: You are responsible for your own trash removal and overall cleanliness of your assigned area.
- Tax Identification: By signing this Agreement (clicking submit below), you are confirming that you have all appropriate and required license and permits from federal, state and local agencies to conduct your business. FOMS takes no responsibility if you do not.
- Insurance: Make sure that "Friends of Main Street Winsted Inc." is named in your certificates of insurance, as an additional insured. Email ([email protected]) a copy of your certificate of insurance five(5) days prior to the event.
- Breakdown: You must not break down prior to the end of the event (3:00 pm). Vendor vehicles cannot enter the festival area until directed so by a Winsted police officer.
- Right To Deny: FOMS holds the right to deny any exhibitor based on any of the following criteria: failing to follow procedures mentioned above; failure to pay in full, failure to show proper licenses/insurance.
RESOURCES (CT Craft Fair Connection)
- Affordable Vendor Insurance & Artist Insurance - Short-term event insurance for vendors with instant coverage, free additional insureds, and nationwide protection ($49/day).
- Laws/Licenses Cottage Food License - If you make food products in your home to sell at fairs and markets, you will need a Cottage Food License.
- Sales Taxes - If you will be selling goods or services in the State of Connecticut, you must obtain a Sales and Use Tax Permit from the Department of Revenue Services.
- Selling at a Fair - Selling at an Arts/Crafts Fair takes a lot of planning, preparation, products, and general supplies.
FOOD VENDOR INFORMATION
- Food Vendors & Restaurants: Must secure the proper Health Department permits from Torrington Area Health District (http://www.tahd.org) and provide to FOMS a paid receipt 15 business days (Sept 6th) prior to the event. (you can email it to "[email protected]".
- Electricity: Electricity is NOT available, you must let us know if you are bringing a generator.
CAR & MOTORCYCLE SHOW INFORMATION

- Set Up Time: 8:30 am to 9:30 am.

- Entrance Fee: Car/Motorcycle Entry Fee $15 at the Gate.
- Entrance: All participating vehicles will enter via the High Street Entrance Gate––The west side of Main Street, not at Case Avenue
- Load-In/Out: You will be directed where to park your vehicle by organizers.
- Trash: You are responsible for your own trash removal and overall cleanliness of your assigned area.
- Breakdown: You must not leave the Car/Motorcycle area until directed by a Winsted police officer..
- Right To Deny: FOMS holds the right to deny any exhibitor based on any of the following criteria: failing to follow procedures mentioned above; failure to pay in full.
