American Legion Honor Guard – bugle playing taps
10:30am – at the entrance to Forest View Cemetery – 171 Rowley St | Soldiers’ Monument Commission members place flowers at WWI Memorial
11:15am – at the George Dudley Memorial Park – corner of Division and Main Streets | Commission members honor soldiers from the Korean and Persian Gulf Wars
11:30am – Beginning of the VFW-led Memorial Day Parade. Begins at the West end of town and concludes at the East End Park.
12:15pm – Commission organized a Ceremony at East End Park to honor those who lost their lives in the War. The Ceremony includes:
• Special memorial address.
• Reading of the names of 120 local fallen soldiers from the Revolutionary War to the Vietnam War.
• Placing of flags at the grandstand for each of the names read.
• Placing of flowers at the Civil War, World War II, and Vietnam Memorials.
2:00 – 4:00pm – OPEN HOUSE at the Soldiers’ Monument – 84 Crown St
