It's fall, and it's getting dark and spooky!🦇Main Street is the heart of our town. It's the place where we come together each year to create unforgettable memories. From Whiting Mills Spooktacular, a Cemetery Walk to spooky window painting down Main Street or Trunk or Treat – Main Street has it all – shopping, dining, parades, movies, concerts, bowling, axe-throwing, museums, breweries, college events, and YMCA workouts!

Welcome. We're making positive things happen in Winsted since 1999!
Friends of Main Street Winsted is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the historic preservation, beautification, and economic growth of Winsted. We achieve this by helping to attract new businesses, support existing businesses, and encourage traffic to downtown. Donations are always welcome! 42nd Halloween Window Painting Contest kicks off on Saturday, October 26th. The contest is open to all Winchester area students in the K-6 age groups, including those attending schools out of town or homeschooled.
