​The Gilson Cafe & Cinema was originally a vaudeville theatre called the Strand Theatre in 1926. It has been running as a cafe and cinema since 1985. Enjoy a meal and a movie here. The Main Auditorium and Upper Lounge are open for movie screenings from Wednesday to Saturday—doors open at 6 pm. Additionally, there are live jazz performances in the Lounge on Sundays.

The Sue Grossman Still River Greenway is a 3.4-mile trail that stretches from Winchester (151 Torrington Rd. with parking at Lanson Dr.) to Torrington (2 Harris Dr.). This trail is a perfect destination for those who love walking, cycling, or using a wheelchair to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It is accessible to everyone, with a flat and straight asphalt surface that is easy to navigate. Whether you want to go after work, visit as a couple, or spend quality time with your family, this greenway is an excellent choice for a daily exercise regime or a day out. The trail is currently being expanded, so soon you will be able to enjoy the downtown centers of Winsted and Torrington.
