Fall River CleanupSeptember 23, 2023 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
(rain date Sunday, September 24) Friends of Main Street is partnering with the Winchester Conservation Commission to introduce a Fall River Community Cleanup along the Still River and Mad River!
Our Fall River Cleanup is inspired by the Connecticut River Conservancy, which sponsors an annual cleanup along the Connecticut River and its tributaries. Volunteers in four states (CT, MA, VT, NH) will be working to beautify our environment and improve water quality on the same weekend. Take pride in your community and help clean up litter on riverbanks, sidewalks, and streets so that we can continue to enjoy clean waterways. Don’t worry if you cannot fill a whole bag of trash or go down to the river banks; your efforts make a difference. Photography by ©Barbara Douglas
