Fall River CleanupOctober 5, 2024 9:30 am - 12:00 pm (rain date Sunday, Oct.6)
Friends of Main Street is partnering with the Winchester Conservation Commission to hold its Annual Fall River Community Cleanup along the Still River and Mad River!
Our Fall River Cleanup collaborates with the Farmington River Watershed Association (FRWA) and the Source to Sea Cleanup. With the help of members, volunteers, and the community, the FRWA leads in protecting and restoring the Farmington River. The Source to Sea Cleanup is a powerful and effective community event spanning the length of our 410-mile watershed in NH, VT, MA, & CT. Take pride in your community and help clean up litter on riverbanks, sidewalks, and streets so that we can continue to enjoy clean waterways. Don’t worry if you cannot fill a whole bag of trash or go down to the river banks; your efforts make a difference. Protecting clean water, Restoring healthy rivers. Photography by ©Barbara Douglas
