Halloween Window Painting, Author Eric Foner Speaking at American Museum of Tort Law, Community Calendar & More!Virtually all of the new businesses on Main Street participated, in addition to our established shops. The shops in Ledgebrook Plaza, Rowley, and Willow Streets handle the overflow when needed. Students that signed up were paired in teams of two, painting more than 50 storefront windows - from Mad River Music all the way down to the F&G Richards/Still River Studio! We are so grateful to Rotary Club of the Torrington / Winsted for generously donating the paints and to the Winsted Fire Department for cleaning all of the windows after the judging is complete. Later in the afternoon, the children headed to the Winchester Recreation Department's popular Trunk-or-Treat event while parents tried to figure out the best trick or treat streets with the spookiest houses! Despite the fact that it's called a contest, the entire town wins as we all benefit from these young artists and their spooky artwork. Congratulations to all the artists and their parents for continuing this wonderful tradition!
