As we enter the second phase of a four-phase approach to the reopening of Connecticut, we are keenly aware of how our downtown and Main Street have been greatly affected by COVID-19. We want to ensure that we support each other by wearing masks, washing our hands, and following social distancing guidelines to help everyone stay safe and allow organizations to get back to business.
Connecticut businesses are reopening in planned phases. But before a business can open your doors, they must self-certify that they are following strict safety guidelines to keep employees and customers safe. Phase Two allows a wide range of additional businesses to reopen and expands the services for some of the sectors that successfully opened in Phase 1.
The sector-specific rules include detailed information and requirements about physical distancing, facility capacity, hygiene, sanitizing, signage, personal protective equipment (PPE), scheduling, training, and more. Beginning Monday, June 8, businesses and nonprofits planning to reopen during Phase 2 on June 17 will need to visit Connecticut’s self-certification website to certify that they are compliant with the reopening rules for their sector. Let's support our businesses by following our health and safety guidelines and let them know that We're With You Winsted!
