How exciting to have two new creative and inventive  businesses open on Main Street in the last two months!

In October, Mama Pho, serving a Vietnamese cuisine at 242 Main Street, opened a new store just two doors down called Papa Boba, selling Bubble Tea and more!  Also, this month the Artist's Tree opened a new shop at 430 Main Street with a mission as a non-profit retail store.
Papa Boba, at 246 Main Street, is excited to introduce the Bubble Tea world to Winsted and attract today's youth with their fun atmosphere.  Bubble tea is a Taiwanese-based drink. Recipes contain tea of some kinds, flavors of milk, and sugar (optional) and toppings, known as "pearls"Ic e-blended versions are frozen and put into a blender, resulting in a slushy consistency. There are many varieties of the drink with a wide range of flavors. Papa Boba is ready for the winter too with a variety of tasty hot milk teas, teas and herbal teas without caffeine.
Papa Boba is  hoping to also attract students from all over Winsted and neighboring towns including The Gilbert
School, Northwest Regional  High School and Northwestern Connecticut Community College - with  WiFi and workstations equipped with charging stations to do homework!  Like them on Facebook: PaPa_BoBa

Artist's Tree offers handcrafted wood furniture, utensils, housewares, and art, but they are available to create custom items as well! All of their products are made from reclaimed, recycled, and sustainably harvested materials!

Their website, Artists-Tree.com, states:

"We are a non-profit retail storefront focused on Sustainability, Arboriculture, Art, and Altruism! The proceeds of our sales will go directly into the local community to help the homeless, impoverished, and toward continuing our Mission."
